Leila Darabi

Executive Vice President, Head of Social Impact

Leila helps M Booth Health’s nonprofit and philanthropic clients define advocacy and communications strategies and tell stories of their impact.

Leila provides strategic counsel and communications support to health, rights and policy clients including Planned Parenthood Global, the International AIDS Society, and a consortium of global funders. Before joining the firm, she led global communications for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Guttmacher Institute, drawing attention to the need for investments in sexual and reproductive health and rights. She has worked alongside health care providers, researchers, advocates, policymakers and journalists around the world, with extensive experience in sub-Saharan Africa. Leila has led workshops in campaign design, message development, storytelling, digital strategy and media engagement. She received her MS in journalism from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College.
